At Isha we got creative with a fun last day of term. Noelia and Steph Piper created decorative paper plate hats with the Nursery children, then entertained the P2s with their enthusiastic animal impersonations and crafted impressive wooden spoon animals.

Miranda, Steph D and Ruby worked with the P6 children on a twist on an Aesop’s fable The Boy Who Cried Lion. We broke the ice with some drama games and movement activities then helped the children to act out the story. After being made up with a lick of face paint the P6s performed their play to the rest of the children with great success. We ended with some games and dancing with the whole school.

At Munyove, after a session with the teachers to help strengthen their understanding of the competence based curriculum, we were warmly invited to see the children's display of rhythmic songs and dances. This was a way for them to show thanks and appreciation for the partnership we have between LEH and Munyove. A message that was echoed many times throughout the morning. The display wasn't entirely one-way! We were encouraged to join in a few dances with some enthusiastic senior girls. Towards the end we were presented with gifts for the school and we were then able to present ours to many whoops of delight! Our rendition of the Beatles' track, All You Need Is Love, with Dave on guitar and vocal accompaniment from the LEH contingent (plus others!) was a great success and much fun! The presentation ended with everyone dancing from nursery through to seniors! The samosa and fizzy drink at the close of school was very welcome indeed.
