Visiting Munyove, Nkanka and more painting

Lots of activity today!

After saying goodbye to Andrea a group left for the Urugwiro Centre in Nkanka. Jane, Harriet and Sue had an enjoyable visit supporting hearing impaired children and observing some outstanding teaching.

Meanwhile everyone else went to Munyove School which takes students from nursery to Senior 3 where they observed and taught lessons across the curriculum alongside the teachers. After lessons, the children had a period of Practical Work, where they went to fetch water and collect litter - something we thought our children might learn from! As it is the end of term, the finals of the handball tournament were being held and it was wonderful to watch the S1 versus S3 game with such a great atmosphere and support from the whole school.

In the afternoon the painting at Isha School continued. We now have more scientific diagrams including the ear, heart and urinary system. Well done Stephan, Francine, Sarah and Moreen.

At Baho Neza Mwana the mural painting also continued - Jean-Claude, Peace and Sad were all keen to help out with the painting - and now only finishing touches need to be added tomorrow.
